  You have hit the nail on the head!!!!

  Much to the WT’s chagrin, we have a great ability to use illustrations!

  I LOVE IT!!!

  I will use this illustration to combat all of the controlled minds I come across.

  Which part do I like the best?

  “ More excuses are offered. People don't use their maps correctly! People expect too much when human error is always a factor. The NEWER maps will be much better than the older ones. Be patient......be patient.....

  Somehow, only the GB is important, UNTIL there is ERROR…. And

  THEN it is the “people’s” problem with being “impatient.”

  That is at the heart of it (and sometimes, it IS hard to figure out what they do so “eloquently”… over and over, and in so many situations, it is hard to describe, right?

  Attention from “error” is diverted..

  NOW it is all about YOUR “patience,” YOUR “loyalty,” & our favorite brain stopper quote: “who are you going to go away to?”

  & the one that irritates me the most "I am sooo glad I am part of an organization that is willing to change"

  my sister remembers, hearing at her congregation, a strongly worded letter from "the society" that hinted that "we may not be getting any more letters from the society, as the end is coming soon.".

  she thinks it was around 2009, or after.. anyone remember this?.

  yep, the word "imminent" is a fave of theirs... over the centuries...

  It must have been something in HER hall, it scared her to death!

  The tribulation was "just around the corner...."

  Someone DOES remember Ted Jaracz saying, "the end is so close I can taste it!"

  thank you all.. still haven't found what she's looking for

  llamallcool: I looked in the yearbooks I have... (CD 2006-2009) but I think I tossed by 2010.. ;-) I forgot about the yearbooks and the GB letters.. That would be a good place... but can't find 2010-2012

  dazedbutnotconfused: 4-5 years ago? hmmm my sister is sure it was after they changed the "bookstudy" in private homes, to "bible study" to same night at service meeting.. That was so the elders could better keep track of us... "help us"

  shopaholic: km school? now that's interesting, but she's sure she heard it at a 'service meeting' (she didn't get to go to km school)

  My sister remembers, hearing at HER congregation, a strongly worded letter from "the Society" that hinted that "we may not be getting any more letters from the Society, as the end is coming soon."

  She thinks it was around 2009, or after.. anyone remember this?

  As a result of this letter:

  It caused a stir in her congregation, as one brother cried out, "Come Lord Jesus, come!", and one missionary brother thought he'd only live in his new house for one month before the end would come. Month after month, each Sunday meeting, they had a talk on Armaggedon and "the end." Some bible students were freaking out.

  A brother totally made up a letter, as IF it came from the GB, he read it on a service meeting part.. that said:

  "This is the last letter you may get from us, because the great tribulation is about to begin."

  Adding, "How would you feel if you got a letter like that? Would you be good with God?"

  Was this just one congregation going overboard? Or, did anyone else have an experience like this?

  Does anyone remember the original letter from the Society?

  i caught yet another revisionist history deception in todays wt lesson.. .

  here is a quote from paragraph 4 of the 2/15/13 study edition.

  "decades before 1914, jehovah's worshippers declared to the nations that the end of "the appointed times of the nations" would come in that year and that the world would enter into an unequaled period of trouble.".

  The WT has always had on hand enough self contradictory information to be able to cherry pick

  its own writings to 'prove' whatever current take it has on any given subject.

  If I recall correctly, that person was never a witness....

  Here is the reason:

  Sincere people could be reading this. They may be disturbed by what they read.

  They may not be able to put it all together, because of the "cherry picking."

  They may not have the time, the resources, the "search the internet" ability

  and may be very appreciative of this effort.

  I certainly do notlike being lied to, and believe that yes, indeed, the WTBTS lies.

  I don't like them using people's lives, resources and time for their benefit.

  they just posted up the new watchtower...with the confusing new information.. time for me to go dive into this "new light" and try to see what sense it makes.

  of course cedars already nicely did a run down for us.. .
